Heavy but hopeful melodies, German lyrics that make you question your own past and future, shrill synth sounds in the grand tradition of heroes like Depeche Mode, DAF or Nitzer Ebb, combined with hard-hitting drum machines – this is the basis of their self-proclaimed Prosecco Wave world.

After thirteen years together, three studio albums, a series of singles, EPs and dozens of live shows in over 23 countries worldwide, band members Luca Gillian, Hannes Rief, Samuel Savenberg and Max Rieger have turned Die Selektion into an influential band that manages to get both goth kids and techno fans on the same dance floor with a unique blend of synth-pop and electronic body music. In 2023, Die Selektion throw a rave on the ruins of the present with »Zeuge aus Licht«, somewhere between apocalypse and the rampant madness of our time.
