Coma

The world is getting colder, but Cologne’s COMA are bringing some warmth into our lives. COMA’s melodic innovations between indie and electronica have always been incredibly accessible, not shying away from hooks or emotion, expanding the concept of what club music can be from album to album. COMA fuse electronic beats with perfectly timed indie, rich in melody and melancholy, perfect for the dancefloor. The two indie-loving childhood friends’ early releases struck a chord in Cologne and its electrophile microcosm. COMA’s sound, characterised by guitars and analogue synthesizers, exotic in a world of laptops and controllers, has taken them to clubs on almost every continent.

Georg Conrad and Marius Bubat may have their roots firmly planted in Cologne’s storied club scene, but their effervescent, groovy vibe blurs boundaries and draws inspiration from global legends such as The Whitest Boy Alive, Radiohead and Blur.
