Melody la la
Soft vocals playfully combine with synth layers, guitar riffs and pumping beats. The Stuttgart band Melody La La composes songs of elusive beauty and timeless validity. Fragments seemingly taken from a David Lynch film are combined with a sure instinct for successful pop music. Gloomy and dark, fragile and vulnerable, the songs seem at first glance. But Melody La La don’t make it that easy: the band’s overriding artistic approach is reflected in repetitive parts, adorned with instruments from outside the genre, such as saxophone or kalimba. Spherical, driving and poppy. A very interesting band, far away from the usual patterns, creating their own soundtrack without fear of contact.
