ÄTNA is more than just a pop duo. Inéz and Demian Kappenstein from Dresden fuse playful synths with organic bass, eclectic fashion with avant-garde video art. Their debut album ‘Made by Desiree’ wrote a new chapter in German pop history and brought about impressive collaborations with Martin Kohlstedt, Marteria, MEUTE and Solomon. Impressive not because of the collaborators, but because ÄTNA’s signature remains unmistakable at all times, while stylistically they are all too happy to walk a fine line between musical styles.

ÄTNA have been nominated for numerous awards and in 2020 they won the international Anchor Award at Hamburg’s Reeperbahn Festival. They are rightly regarded as a thrilling live act. This is evidenced by their appearances at major festivals, concerts in half of Europe and sold-out shows throughout the German-speaking world.
