Prof. Dr. Moritz Baßler, born 1962, Professor of Modern German Literature at the University of Münster. Numerous publications focusing on realism, classical modern literature, literary theory, contemporary literature and pop culture. His most recent monographs include a literary history (Deutsche Erzählprosa 1850-1950, Berlin 2015) and a book on pop music (Western Promises, Bielefeld 2019). He is co-founder of the magazine POP – Kultur und Kritik.
