KIKI

Deep lyrics over blurry beats: this is the new guise in which KIKI wraps herself on » Schlafen kann ich wenn ich tot bin« (engl. I can sleep when I’m dead). On her new EP, she is mercilessly honest about the darker side of life, giving a very personal insight into the deep, dark chapters of her journey to adulthood. It’s about loneliness, fear, addiction and loss. The wrong people in life in the dreary maelstrom of the big city. KIKI represents a strong woman who has been shaped by life and no longer wants to hide the scars of her past. Strength, independence and a love of the body are her signposts to a society that wants to rethink the traditional image of femininity. On stage, she not only shows her vulnerable side, but also delivers with her five-piece live band behind her. She creates an open, empowering space for all people, free from conformity and norms.
