Enji

The traditional music of Enji’s homeland can be clearly heard in her songs – in the vocal techniques and in the use of the Mongolian language. The result is a highly original fusion of the traditions of her homeland, jazz and bossa nova in a chamber setting. Enji grew up in a yurt in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. She now lives in Munich and released her third album »Ulaan« at the end of 2023. As one of the first students at the Goethe Music Laboratory in Ulan Bator, she discovered her passion for jazz and now creates complex wonders that fascinate with exquisite harmonies and airy layers of sound: unagitated, full of moments taken and captured from life, produced with great attention to detail.

Das Bild zeigt die Musikerin Enji. Sie dreht der Kamera den Rücken zu trägt ein übergroßes rotes Kleid und blickt dabei über ihre Schulter.
