Scarlet Richter

Scarlet Richter is a director and screenwriter based in Munich. Before moving behind the camera, she worked as a stunt performer for film, television, and live productions while studying German literature and sports science. During this time, she also hosted radio and TV programs.

She later worked as an editor and director for various production companies and, as a freelancer, created reports and documentaries for broadcasters including ARD, ZDF, ARTE, KiKA, BR, and ProSieben. She further developed her passion for filmmaking through programs such as the Documentary Campus Masterschool and the »Drehbuchwerkstatt« (Screenwriting Workshop) scholarship at the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF).

Since then, she has been developing and producing both documentary and fiction projects. Her diverse professional background informs her storytelling, combining a keen sensitivity for people with a distinctive eye for unusual perspectives.
