Horizontaler Gentransfer

A grab bag of K-pop and experimental art-pop that defies preconceptions with artistic sophistication. This is the band Horizontaler Gentransfer (HGT). Or to put it more succinctly: an experimental art-pop, K-punk band initiated by six artists (Mizi Lee, Seonha Park, Jerry Ahn, Yun Park, Lilian Gonzalez, Hanseo Oh) with an immigrant background in Stuttgart in May 2022.

HGT not only questions cultural norms, but also deals with explicit racist attacks in direct exchange with the audience. This transfer of feelings and experiences to the audience is the horizontal of HGT. The artists’ characters are visually complemented by self-made costumes, leaving room for a unique art performance.
