Arne Braun

Arne Braun has been state secretary at the ministry for science, research, and art in Baden-Württemberg since the 28th September 2022. From 1992 to 2007, he was editor-in-chief of Stuttgart’s city magazine LIFT and during that time, he brought to life and established the Lange Nacht der Museen as well as the Stuttgarter Kulturnacht (later Stuttgartnacht). Braun was advisor and one of the press officers of the green party at the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg between 2007 and 2011. Upon Winfried Kretchmann being elected prime minister in 2011, Braun moved onto the state ministry as deputy government spokesman. Furthermore, he oversaw the cultural programme at the park of the government seat Villa Reitzenstein since 2013. From May 2021 onwards, he was government spokesman of the state government Baden-Württemberg.
