Themis

Themis draws his listeners to the dark side of rock music. He skillfully combines the dark with the bittersweet and emotional, combined with a large portion of queer power and punk attitude. Following the release of his first EP and numerous concerts and festivals in Germany, his album » The Heavy Door « offers a deeper look into his exciting debut. The sound of his music is reminiscent of Placebo, PJ Harvey and Bauhaus.

He and his live band, consisting of Korbinian Öhy (drums), Nico Zeitz (guitar) and Henri Schweizer (bass, previously Shoka Chitashvili) also cast a magical spell over audiences at concerts. They recently played successful tours supporting English alternative rock bands such as THE PALE WHITE, FALSE HEADS and Sweden’s emo-punkers TRIBE FRIDAY.

After impressively completing his own headline tour, he and his band dedicated themselves to writing, recording and producing the new EP » Thalassa «. On » Thalassa «, Themis dives deeper into the heady mix of dark, reverb-drenched rock melodies, grungy bass riffs and loud, driving drums that can be heard in the first singles » Lonely Corner « (14.10.22) and » Roses Of Deceit « (03.02.23). Themis made a conscious decision to record the record mostly in a single take and to leave the drums, bass and vocals as raw as possible to imitate a live concert character.
