Thiermann/Edte
Siri Thiermann and Nils Edte combine deep techno, ambient, and experimental sounds in their hardware-based live sets. The two Stuttgart-based artists explore the interplay between body and machine, repetition and change, control and chance with improvisational openness. Their compositions move between delicate spheres and powerful, hypnotic rhythms.
Siri Thiermann works with analog and modular synthesizers. In her musical practice, she explores the performative dimension of hardware: oscillators, controls, and cables become extensions of the body, enabling sonic gestures that are both sculptural and rhythmic. She also composes and produces music for theater and performs on stage as a musician and performer.
Nils Edte has established himself as an important voice in the international ambient techno scene with his numerous releases. His deep, organic, and atmospheric style is inspired by the sounds and textures of nature. Performances have taken him to Barcelona, Tokyo, Milan, and London, among other places. Together with Laima Adelaide and Tama, he is part of the Stuttgart-based label Predawn Records.
