Xeno & Oaklander

The US duo Xeno & Oaklander are Sean McBride from Maryland and Liz Wendelbo from New York, with roots in France and Norway. In their studio in New York’s Brooklyn district, the two began producing their own tracks and soundtracks after the big retro wave. Today, they are considered part of the cold wave revival scene of the 2000s and 2010s. By using analog equipment and avoiding post-production, Xeno & Oaklander’s sound is characterized by poetic vocals and old synthesizers.

Deeply involved in the analog synth community since 2004 (since the release of their debut album Vigils on Xanten Records), they have been essential in the promotion and rise of synth wave revival and the rise of dark wave in the US and worldwide through their extensive touring and body of work.
