Modern Torture

MODERN TORTURE is kind of a punk band from Stuttgart/Ludwigsburg, which makes it its business to playfully transform opposites into music. Jeany (bass/vocals), Djo (guitar/vocals) and Vane (drums/keyboard/backing vocals) spark loud, but also bittersweet creative sparks – between punk and poetry, anger and love, banality and social criticism. MODERN TORTURE, as the name suggests, sometimes hurts, is like an unpleasant wet handshake, but at the same time a long-awaited familiar embrace. Flowery, quivering guitar riffs adorn lyrical screams – together with a bass and drum combo shining in rebellion, this is what is called art punk. MODERN TORTURE are the voices of children of the 2000s who do what they feel.
