Beside his deejay- and producer-career he loves to cook regional and asian food or is yearing for summer. Alex started his passionate dj and producer career in the early 90s. At the tender age of 16 he started playing different events around Stuttgart in more or less legal locations, such as derelicted warehouses or bunkers from the 2nd world war. Through these events, club owners became aware of him. After some guest appearances beside of Sven Väth and own events in legendary Club OZ in Stuttgart, Alex got his first residency at the club Splash (a little outside of town) at the age of 18 years. Alex plays and produces a range of styles from emotional and fresh deep house, through acid, to darker Detroit techno, always embracing a touch of melancholy. Besides DJing, he loves spending time in his own small but refined home recording studio – affectionately called Moshi Moshi – and takes pride in his collection of Roland vintage classics (909-808-707-606-303-101-106). In addition to his releases on Sasse’s label, he is a sought-after remixer and producer for labels such as Compost, Different, Parquet, Hypercolour, Apersonal, Galaktika, Compuphonic, and more. Alex regularly plays nationally and internationally in various clubs or at events/ festivals, and he has had the opportunity to showcase his talent at the legendary Berghain and the wonderful Robert Johnson. Following the closure of his long-standing residency at Rocker 33, he launched the monthly event Maier’s Lab at Stuttgart’s Club Romantica in autumn 2015.
